June 13, 1998 - January 16, 2008

Juliana Zirinsky, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 9, passed away on the morning of January 16th, peacefully, at home.
Juliana was our treasure, our faerie sprite, our beloved. Adored by her sister, Leela, and by her parents, Ruth Schekter and Bill Zirinsky. Cared for beautifully, and loved, by Maka Senderayi. Dear grandchild of Leon and Beverly Schekter.
She was loved deeply by many people, and she had a very special relationship with Margo Rothwell. Loved by her teachers, Deb Spencer and Merri Rose, at High Point, (and Lyn Kirkwood and Sue Dancer, when she was younger, in the Bach School Hearing Impaired Pre-School Program). Challenged in the best and most fun ways by her long-time physical therapist, Karen Wallis. And treated with great skill and compassion and humor since she was a baby by Dr. Howard Weinblatt.
Juliana suffered from a degenerative neuro-metabolic disorder, and her health had been failing over the last few months. Her brother, Sam, also suffered from the same rare disorder, and he died four years ago. Juliana really loved her brother. Juliana was truly a child of the Divine. She loved her life. She enjoyed school. She loved horses and books and the water. She thrived on family love. She was lots of fun. She had a great spirit, and she was a determined and happy little girl.
