Services:Medical thermal imaging (thermography) is a
low impact method of screening for breast cancer with compression
or irradiation. While thermography has a sensitivity of about
80% by itself, when used in conjunction with conventional mammography,
thermography increases the sensitivity from about 80% to over
95%. Thus it can be use to both maximize the sensitivity of
screening for breast cancer and as an alternative for people
who can't or won't get mammograms. Thermography is also a useful
tool to help understand pain syndromes and neurological problems.

Sickels MD, board certified in family medicine and holistic
medicine. The studies are performed by Barbara Vannest, certified
clinical thermographer. Dr. Sickels and Ann Arbor Thermography
brought this innovative screening method to Ann Arbor and Washtenaw
county in 2007 as part of Dr. Sickels' constant quest to improve
the health of his community.
