United Plant Savers: Planting the Future in the
Great Lakes Bioregion with Althea Northage-Orr, Betzy Bancroft,
Christine Dennis, Colleen Dodt, George Vaughn, Jim McDonald, Joyce
Wardwell, Leslie Williams, Linda Conroy, and Wendy Wagoner
Aug. 2, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. This event helps support the United
Plant Savers to spread awareness about the stewardship of wild medicinal
plants at risk from their very popularity as herbal medicines. Herbalists
from surrounding states will share their herbal wisdom on medicinal
plant use, wildcrafting, medicinal mushrooms, fermentation, aromatherapy,
native seed collection, and the consciousness needed to ensure that
our wild medicinal plants continue to thrive in our environment.
